Liverpool have reportedly ‘expressed interest’ in signing promising RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will likely lose Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in January, as the two forwards are set to jet off to Cameroon for Africa Cup of Nations.
Both forwards, who will compete for Egypt and Senegal respectively, have enjoyed spectacular starts to the season; contributing 15 goals and five Premier League assists between each other since the start of the new season.
However, with both players set to miss a significant number of matches in January, Klopp’s side may be looking to invest in some attacking cavalry to compensate for their absence.
And according to Sky Germany, the six-time Champions League winners have become the latest club to have “expressed interest” in Adeyemi.
Where will Liverpool finish in the Premier League this season? Comment below

The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the most exciting talents in European football, having hammered home an exceptional 14 goals in 18 appearances in all competitions.
He is also one of the highest goalscorers in this season’s Champions League campaign, with three goals and one assist in three appearances for the Austrian side.
RB Salzburg has begun to entrench itself as one of European football’s best producers of young talent - Adeyemi is one of the latest stars to come of their conveyer belt.
Borussia Dortmund hitman Erling Haaland, who boasts a sensational 70 goals and 19 assists in 69 appearances for the German giants, was also spring boarded into the European spotlight by the Austrian side.
He even found the net against Klopp’s side during a 4-3 defeat at Anfield, but the Reds went on to sign his teammate Takumi Minamino barely three months after the Japanese winger also scored against them.
And it appears Liverpool are considering adding Adeyemi to their Red Arrows like attacking front-line.

While the Reds’ transfer approach is generally more astute and strategic, they are not afraid to enter the window when they feel they absolutely need to.
An injury exodus in their backline last season, which saw Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Joel Matip all suffer significant injuries, prompted the Merseysiders to sign Ozan Kabak on loan, as well as Ben Davies from Preston for around £1.5m
While these signing were made in reaction to a truly exceptional injury crisis, it demonstrated the Reds willingness to strengthen when forced to do so.

However, Liverpool could be faced with some stiff competition for the German’s signature.
It is also understood Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the striker.
The likely exit of PSG hitman Kylian Mbappe, who has made it abundantly clear he wants to sign for Real Madrid upon the expiration of his contract, looks to have also prompted Mauricio Pochettino’s side to look the market.
Sky Germany claim the French giants potentially view Adeyemi as somebody who could fill the enormous boots vacated by Mbappe, if the Frenchman does leave the Parc des Princes.
Transfermarkt currently value Adeyemi at around £18m, however, his lack of a buy-out clause and the fact that his current deal at the Red Bull Arena does not expire until 2024, means they Austrians could command whatever fee they like for the youngster.
