Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse theatres cancel Christmas performances

Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse has announced the cancellation of performances due to take place over the Christmas period.

Robin Hood and Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World are both affected, with performances up to and including Tuesday December 28 cancelled.

The cancellation of shows at Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse theatres is due to a number of positive COVID-19 tests.

Mark Da Vanzo, CEO of the Everyman & Playhouse, said: “It’s been wonderful to welcome audiences back to both our theatres and to see the joy our shows have been bringing to everyone.

"Creating theatre at this time has brought numerous challenges and like many theatre across the UK, it is the dedication, tenacity and passion of our team and the many freelance performers, creatives and technicians that is to be applauded.

"This decision has been difficult but the understanding, kindness and support of audiences is incredibly heart-warming.”

Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse hope to resume performances on Wednesday December 29.
