Here are the Liverpool headlines for Wednesday, March 24.
Coutinho 'for sale'
Reports in Spain claim Philippe Coutinho has been made available for sale at Barcelona with an asking price of just £35m.
Sport has slammed Barca's original deal to sign Coutinho as the 'most ruinous business in history' for the Camp Nou club, who are now accused of looking like they do not even want the Brazilian to succeed.
Coutinho moved to Barca from Liverpool in January 2018 for £142m and he struggled for form before spending last season on loan at Bayern Munich, winning the Champions League.
He enjoyed a brief renaissance at Barca at the start of this season under Ronald Koeman but has not played since December due to an injury.
Reds can sidestep Haaland scramble
Liverpool have been tipped to enter the transfer market for a new striker this summer due to the advancing age of their current front three.
One player who has been consistently linked with a move to Anfield is Erling Haaland following some stunning form for Borussia Dortmund.
Yet the 20-year-old will not come cheap, with a host of clubs keen on his signature.
With that in mind, if Liverpool are looking for an alternate to Haaland, who could they consider?
Potential names include Andre Silva, Alexander Isak, Paco Alacar and Patrick Schick.
FSG could be rocked by major FFP ruling
Reports have suggested UEFA are set to scrap the Financial Fair Play scheme that has been in effect for 10 years in favour of a new system of financial control that will allow richer clubs more freedom to spend big.
It is a development that would be of benefit to clubs with bottomless wealth like Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, yet would represent a blow to Liverpool, whose financial model has been built on seeking value in the transfer market and avoiding bidding wars.
Should FFP be scrapped, it is yet to be seen what new financial controls would look like.
