Liverpool goalkeeper on the verge of move to Greece
Kamil Grabara’s hopes of breaking into the Liverpool first team are relatively distant at present, and the young stopper is expected to spend another season out on loan.
The Polish youngster spent last season on loan at Huddersfield Town, playing 27 times in the Championship, but remains behind Alisson and Adrian in the Anfield pecking order and is expected to be sent out again in search of first-team football.
Loris Karius is also back at Anfield, following two years on loan at Besiktas, while Caoimhin Kelleher made his first-team debut last season.
His likely destination is PAOK , who finished last season in second place in the Greek Super League and are understood to be confident of a deal.
Grabara’s Poland under-21 team-mate Karol Swiderski already plays for the Greek side, who have let two goalkeepers leave this close-season.
They are due to take on Benfica in the Champions League third qualifying round, having finished a distant second to Olympiacos last term.
Grabara signed a new “long-term” Liverpool contract before the Huddersfield loan move.
Liverpool linked to Belgium wonderkid Doku
Belgian football has a new teenage star, a few years after a 19-year-old Divock Origi scored for the country at the 2014 World Cup.
The Anderlecht forward scored on his first start for Roberto Martinez’s team, putting away the fifth in a 5-1 Uefa Nations League win over Iceland, having made his senior international debut over the weekend.
And now it has emerged that Doku could have found himself at Liverpool, only for the player to decide to stay at Anderlecht.

Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur revealed the 18-year-old forward was given a tour of Anfield with his parents two years ago, only to decide against a move.
The journalist also claimed the Reds put a “Doku clause” into the deal which took Lazar Markovic to Anderlecht on loan in 2018, agreeing to the deal only if they were permitted to speak to the teenager.
Doku’s call-up came after he scored four goals in all competitions last season, and he has already opened his club account for this season in a 2-2 draw at Mechelen.
