Liverpool evening headlines as Diogo Jota injury concern confirmed, Ronaldo FSG transfer question

Here are the Liverpool evening headlines on Friday, December 11.

Ronaldo and United ask FSG transfer question

With Manchester United reportedly keen on re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo, this may have asked a question to FSG and Liverpool.

The 35-year-old superstar is now plying his trade at Juventus, but United are apparently interested in a sensational reunion with the Portugal forward.

This may have asked the Reds and their owners, FSG, an important question - with the club's transfer policy consisting of signing players who are yet to reach their 'peak' - with Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota just two examples.

With Man United's shirt sponsor, Chevrolet, apparently keen on bringing Ronaldo back to Old Trafford; if such thing ever happened at Anfield, would we see a slight turn from FSG?

Pre-Fulham team news

Liverpool travel to Fulham on Sunday afternoon, but Jurgen Klopp may be without Diogo Jota for the Premier League clash, he has confirmed.

However, the Reds have been handed a boost with Alisson Becker set to return in goal for the trip to London.

Klopp said: " Kostas (Tsimikas) we have to see, Diogo we have to see - he got a knock as well but that's it from the game.

" Oxlade (Chamberlain) is in normal training and has been doing parts of training for a week or so. " Alisson will train today - and if he trains and all is fine then he can play."

Klopp praises the progress of Jones

Klopp has also been speaking on Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, and his personal development being so impressive.

Jones has been in fine form for the Reds this season, following an injury crisis at Anfield - where the 19-year-old was called upon.

Klopp said: "When you speak about the kids, it happens that you forget Curtis but when you are the outstanding talent in all your age groups - as Curtis has been since he was here at Liverpool - it's completely normal that you develop a very confident personality and think that nothing can hurt you.

"From being the prince of any team to be a normal player in the next team they struggle, but Curtis never struggled and that's because of the incredible leadership of our more experienced players as they showed him the pathway in football, what he can still be and where he can adapt."
