LONDON: Mohamed Salah scored six minutes from time to give Liverpool a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in their Premier League match on Saturday at Selhurst Park in London.

The league’s leading scorer kept his cool to convert Andrew Robertson’s cross on 84 minutes for his 29th goal of the season.

The home side had gone ahead on 13 minutes after Liverpool keeper Loris Karius brought down Wilfried Zaha and Luka Milivojevic put away the resulting penalty, his seventh of the season.

Four minutes after the break, Sadio Mane brought Liverpool level, finishing James Milner’s left-wing cross.

The win lifts Liverpool a point ahead of Manchester United, who are at home to Swansea later on Saturday. Palace remain just two points clear of the drop zone, and could be overtaken by Southampton if they beat West Ham later in the day.

The victory in Jurgen Klopp’s 100th Premier League match at the helm was Liverpool's first league double over Palace since 1997-98.
