Liverpool duo find themselves in Roy Keane's firing line after dismal Fulham defeat

Roy Keane tore into Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson after Fulham's winning goal on Sunday.

Liverpool were stunned by Scott Parker's newly-promoted side and succumbed to a 1-0 defat - their sixth in a row at home in the league.

The Premier League champions are now facing the prospect of missing out on European football entirely, as they currently sit eighth in the table.

Jurgen Klopp rotated his side heavily for the game against Fulham, but it was two of his usual starters who let him down just before the interval.

Following a Fulham free-kick, Robertson failed to head the ball clear, instead nodding it down to Salah, who was instantly robbed of the ball by Mario Lemina, who smashed the ball home.

And Keane was left flabbergasted by Liverpool's inability to clear the ball, and tore into their defending.

Speaking on Sky Sports' coverage of the game, the outspoken pundit explained that while it was a well taken goal by Lemina, Liverpool needed to do more.

Keane said: "It’s a lovely technique but it’s shocking from Liverpool’s point of view.

"Set-piece, obviously Robertson has got to do better. Salah – okay, it’s not one of his strengths – outmuscled.

"But it’s a lovely technique, the way he gets across the ball and they deserve it.

"It’s not a great delivery, I think RObertson has got to do better, Salah has got to be stronger, he cannot lose it there.

"Fantastic strike but it’s amazing what’s happened to this Liverpool team. They’re a shadow of themselves.

"Salah… not good enough, not strong enough, [no] desire but Robertson has got to do better as well.

"You’ve got to get a better header than that away."
