'Liverpool don't deserve him' - Chelsea fans react as Timo Werner scores again for RB Leipzig

That's the end of the goal drought.

Timo Werner needed just 11 minutes to open the scoring for RB Leipzig away to Mainz this afternoon in the Bundesliga to spark another wave of frenzy among Chelsea supporters hoping their club can usurp Liverpool to sign the Germany international in the next transfer window.

Having scored just once in his past eight games, Werner produced a low finish to put Julian Nagelsmann's side in front against a Mainz team that they battered 8-0 earlier in the season.

It was his 22nd league goal of the season, with eight assists on top of it as Leipzig try to seal a Champions League place.

And while Liverpool appear to be the favourites to sign the Bundesliga's leading scorer after Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski, that has not stopped Blues fans from getting excited.

A sentiment shared by many

Well he is certainly not going to be as costly
