Four Liverpool stars have made the 11-man shortlist for The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2020 award.
Thiago Alcantara, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are all up for the award alongside seven other stars of the game.
The remaining nominees up for the award are Lionel Messi, Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappe and Sergio Ramos.
Elsewhere, Jurgen Klopp has been named on the five-man shortlist for The Best FIFA Men’s Coach and Alisson Becker has been nominated for The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper award.
Klopp is up against Marcelo Bielsa, Zinedine Zidane, Julen Lopetegui, Hans-Dieter Flick and Marcelo Bielsa.
Meanwhile, Alisson faces competition from Thibaut Courtois, Keylor Navas, Manuel Neuer, Jan Oblak and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
Two expert panels – one for women’s football and one for men’s football – have selected the candidates for each category.
Public voting is now open on FIFA.com and will run until December 9, with the winners set to be announced two days later.
Messi took home the gong at last year’s awards ceremony in Milan, with Liverpool’s Van Dijk finishing runner up.
Ronaldo came third in the voting, with Reds duo Salah and Mane coming in fourth and fifth respectively.
But there was success for Klopp who picked up the FIFA Best Men's Coach award, and Alisson, who picked up the award for best goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, Van Dijk and Alisson were both included in the Team of the Year - but Andy Robertson's snub left many fans fuming.
