Liverpool distillery opens its first gin bar at Royal Albert Dock

Liverpool has welcomed a new bar today in one of the city’s most iconic locations, the Royal Albert Dock.

Turncoat launched this afternoon, tucked away in the basement below Revolución de Cuba, and is set to serve a huge range of gin.

The bar comes from the team behind Turncoat Distillery, which was founded in a garage in Liverpool in 2016, creating its own spirits such as Albert Dock gin, Our Man Sicily gin and Dragon Tears gin.

Now, Turncoat has moved on from its garage-based beginnings into a Grade I listed building at the Royal Albert Dock.

The bar will be showcasing its entire gin range, along with 15 craft beer taps from local, independent suppliers, and will be serving wood-fired pizza and freshly made cakes daily.

Inside, Turncoat features artwork from local mural artist Jazz Stan and floral displays from Liverpool favourite The Dutch Flower Shop.

You can find Turncoat at the Royal Albert Dock as of today, February 7.
