Jurgen Klopp's side are entering the competition at the semi-final stage alongside the undecided winners of the Copa Libertadores.

Kicking off on Wednesday 11 December, the competition concludes on Sunday 22 December with Liverpool guaranteed to take part in two matches.

Meanwhile, the winners of the Copa Libertadores will take on the winners of the AFC Champions League or Esperance de Tunis in the other semi-final.

After finishing as runners-up to Sao Paolo in 2005, Liverpool will look to be crowned world champions for the first time in their history.
