Liverpool denied Atletico Madrid advantage as latest Premier League TV fixtures announced

Liverpool have been told by the Premier League that three of their February fixtures have been rescheduled.

It comes as part of the latest plans to introduce a mid-season break for players in the domestic competition.

The Reds ' trip to Norwich City has been moved back a week to Saturday, February 15 and will kick-off at 5.30pm.

That means Jurgen Klopp's squad will have a break from Premier League matches on the weekend of February 8.

However, they could have been allowed a break in the second half of the planned schedule and therefore not have played on the February 15 weekend with half of Premier League teams given one weekend and the other half being allowed the second weekend off.

Should this have been decided, it would have allowed Mohamed Salah and co to rest before they take on Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 on February 18.

The other two fixtures that have been moved are the home match against West Ham, which will be played at 8pm on Monday, February 24, and the away clash with Watford, now due to kick-off on Saturday, February 29 and 5.30pm.

All matches will be broadcast on TV.
