Liverpool defender missing and four things spotted in training
Liverpool took part in an open training session on Tuesday, which was streamed on YouTube, ahead of their home tie with Atletico Madrid.
A win for Jurgen Klopp’s side at Anfield would see the Reds qualify for the knockout rounds of the Champions League with two games to spare.
Both Fabinho and Thiago were spotted among the squad following their return from injury, with the German coach confirming that the pair are available to play against Atletico.
However, there was one notable absentee in the form of Joe Gomez.
The England defender did not appear to be involved in the session, despite Klopp not mentioning any injury doubts over the 24-year-old in his pre-match press conference.

'As I said' - Gini Wijnaldum makes Liverpool claim after PSG struggles
Former Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum has made a specific comparison between the Reds and his new club PSG.
The 30-year-old has struggled to retain a starting spot for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, having been a consistent presence in Jurgen Klopp’s team.
As Pochettino attempts to accommodate a frontline of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, Wijnaldum has explained how PSG are undergoing a similar process to the one he experienced with Liverpool.
“As I said, the Liverpool team have played for years together. We made a lot of progress and evolved before winning the Champions League,” he said, when asked if his current team reminded him of the Reds’ 2019 side, according to Paris United.
“Here at PSG, it looks like my first season in Liverpool; we discover each other.”
