Liverpool decide on 'top transfer target' as Harvey Elliott's gesture brings fan to tears

Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes to be Liverpool's 'top transfer target'

According to a report from Fichajes, Liverpool have made Barnes one of their 'top transfer targets' for next summer.

The Reds have been linked with the Foxes winger over the past few months, after impressing at the King Power Stadium.

The report states that Wolves’ Pedro Neto and Rennes’ Jeremy Doku are also on a list of potential targets for Liverpool, but Barnes is ahead of the duo in the Reds’ thinking.

It has also been claimed that Klopp is a huge admirer of Barnes, adding that the forward is perfectly suited to the way Liverpool and the German like to play.

Harvey Elliott's fantastic gesture to young Liverpool fan

Injured Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott left a young fan in tears of joy after signing his shirt for him on Saturday.

Elliott is currently recovering from ankle surgery after suffering a horrific injury against Leeds United and was spotted at Anfield to cheer on his teammates during the draw against Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.

The 18-year-old has quickly established himself as a fan favourite on the Kop and continues to endear himself to supporters with his gestures off the field.

On the day of the Brighton game, Harvey meet Harry, 11, to spend a few minutes with the young Liverpool fan and handed over a signed shirt as well as his personal embroidered New Balance boots.

"He was in floods of tears with happiness - so overcome with emotion," Harry's dad told the ECHO.
