Liverpool Council jobs you can apply for with wages above £40k

Plenty of jobs are available across Liverpool this new year, with 29 advertised on Liverpool city council's website alone.

Some exciting opportunities are on offer in a range of sectors, including finance and social work.

A few of these jobs come with a hefty salary as well, with a select few offering over £50,000 to potential candidates.

Four jobs currently advertised at Liverpool city council have starting salaries above £40,000.

Advanced Public Health Practitioner (Children and Young People)

Liverpool council is looking for an advanced public health practitioner to join their public health team on a permanent basis for 35 hours a week.

If successful, you will lead public health strategy, and programme and policy development, to "improve health within Liverpool, and reduce health inequalities focusing on children and young people".

The job advert said: "We are seeking a dynamic individual to be a member of the Public Health Team.

"The post will provide an opportunity for people who already have significant post Masters experience of public health or equivalent and are interested in applying their skills in the public health."

The salary for the role is between £55,188 and £61,260 per year and the deadline for applications is January 13.

Social Work Team Leader

Another role is that of team leader responsible for the management of Liverpool City Council social workers within the Hospital Discharge and Home first Plus teams.

The 12-month contract would see you responsible for supporting, changing and improving the way Liverpool council delivers services for people in Liverpool who are being discharged from hospital.

The job advert said: "You will be working alongside referrers from the hospital trust and other partners to embed an asset based approach when referring for home care provision and ensuring that the right level of care is being prescribed.

"This will involve working with partners to explore alternative options while taking a strengths based approached.

"You will be able to utilise Liquid Logic and other data sources to produce high level reports to monitor the progress of the project and work alongside the wider team and adult commissioners to develop solutions."

The salary for the role is between £43,857 and 48,797 per year and the deadline for applications is January 3.

Finance Manager (Schools Financial Management Systems)

Liverpool council is looking for someone who has "good knowledge and experience using financial/accounting software packages with excellent analysis, project management, budgeting and key stakeholder management skills."

Working with the Children Services Finance Team on a two-year contract, you will review the financial accounting and budgeting system for Liverpool maintained schools, and develop accounting procedures in line with the new financial management information systems.

This job comes with a long list of candidate requirements, including a recognised professional accounting qualification (or equivalent experience).

It also requires experience of staff management, of carrying out data analysis and cost comparisons, of preparing budgets within a framework of recognised accounting standards, and of working accurately with procedures and deadlines in a financial environment and providing advice on those procedures

The salary for the role is between £48,797 and £54,080 per year and the deadline for applications is January 13, but applications might close early if sufficient applications are received.

Educational Psychologist

One role is a permanent position as an educational psychologist working 35 hours per week, which "can be managed flexibly between 6am and 10pm".

The job is open to qualified Educational Psychologists, or trainee Educational Psychologists due to qualify in 2022 or September 2023.

Candidates are expected to be flexible, creative and efficient, with good time management skills, have excellent communication skills an extensive knowledge of psychology, be able to work autonomously and as a team, and be be "motivated to make a difference to local communities".

The job advert said: "We offer a supportive peer and senior supervision process and encourage continued professional development, peer mentoring and autonomy in the development of innovative initiatives.

"In addition to supporting schools and settings, there are opportunities to work in specific areas, including social inclusion, early years, the virtual school, electively home educated, C.M.E., parent forums and underrepresented groups.

"This is an opportunity to work in a vibrant, diverse city with colleagues who are committed to facilitating positive change and making a difference!"

The salary for the role is between £42,075 and £51,538 per year and the deadline for applications is March 31.
