Klopp could follow Manchester United example
Something rather strange happened on Sunday evening and it wasn't the out-of-form Liverpool winning a game of football.
What was notable about the 2-0 win at Sheffield United was the Reds comfortably beating a team struggling at the wrong end of the table - something Klopp and his side have struggled to do this season.
In nine games against the bottom seven this season, Liverpool have taken just 10 points.
Klopp's hopes of a successful title defence are gone with Manchester City simply too good at the moment, but the race for the top four is still alive.
What should be deemed as a potential positive will only happen if the Reds can build on their routine win over the Blades at the weekend.
Manchester United have been poor against the 'top six' this season and have taken the majority of their points against those struggling in the division, something Klopp and Liverpool should look to replicate between now and the end of the campaign.
The champions have still got to play Fulham, Newcastle United, Southampton, West Bromwich Albion, Burnley and Crystal Palace between now and the end of the season, with all of those sides, at the time of being written, in the bottom seven.
