Liverpool 'could celebrate winning Premier League in Goodison Park car park'

Liverpool could celebrate winning the Premier League title in a car park at the home of neighbours Everton if they win the crown at Goodison Park.

The suggestion comes with clubs such as Manchester United having to make big changes to ensure they can maintain social distancing when football restarts next week.

Dressing rooms are posing a problem for social distancing ahead of the Premier League's return - particularly at older stadiums such as Old Trafford and Goodison.

So clubs are having to find creative solutions to ensure the health of players and staff.

Talks are ongoing at Everton, but according to the Daily Mail, it is likely that Liverpool players may have to get changed in a temporary structure on the other side of the stadium to the dressing rooms.

This could be built on the car park behind the Park End - so that would be where Liverpool players will pop the bubbly if they end the club's 30-year wait for the league title on June 21.

The runaway Premier League leaders can win their 19th top-flight crown by beating Everton in the Merseyside derby - if second-placed Manchester City lose to Arsenal when the Premier League restarts on June 17.

Meanwhile, the Mail reports that at Old Trafford players from both sides could get changed in the dressing rooms before making their way to a separate area - likely to be a corporate lounge - to prepare for games.

Crystal Palace are likely to bring in a portable structure at Selhurst Park, while Aston Villa are reportedly considering using the media lounge as a makeshift dressing room.

Burnley have already installed a temporary structure next to the existing dressing room for the away team, while Leicester City are another club having to come uo with a solution.

At Norwich, both sides will get changed in corporate areas, while Chelsea are assessing alternatives for both home and away facilities.
