Liverpool are reportedly one of a number of clubs interested in RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol and have been 'tracking him for quite some time'.
Jurgen Klopp's defence has been heavily criticised this season and, in the loss against Bournemouth on Saturday, they showed why reinforcements may be needed at the back.
The Croatian is highly thought of in European football after his dominating displays at the World Cup with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Liverpool all said to be tracking his situation.

CBS reporter Ben Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT of Liverpool's interest in the centre-half, who is reported to have a £97million release clause that becomes active in the summer of 2024.
Fabrizio Romano has also told Caught Offside: "At the moment I’m aware of Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool but it’s still March and nothing is agreed, so we have to keep the race open.
"I think Gvardiol will become the most expensive centre-back ever, more than €80m fee.”
