Liverpool need to start thinking about the future of their ageing attack and Jurgen Klopp could find the answer in an unlikely place at Manchester United as Anthony Martial pushes to leave Old Trafford in January.

Alessandro Del Piero makes blunt Liverpool claim over Champions League draw

Italian football legend Alessandro Del Piero believes Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool is the toughest opponent Inter Milan could face in the round of 16 in the Champions League.

The current Serie A title holders finished second in Group D and could be drawn against Manchester City, Liverpool, Ajax, Bayern Munich, Manchester United or Lille.

“I would take Liverpool, who are the strongest!” he joked while speaking on Sky Sports.

The draw will take place on Monday, December 13 at 11am GMT.

Along with Inter, Liverpool could also face Paris Saint-Germain, Sporting Lisbon, Benfica, Villarreal or RB Salzburg.
