Liverpool contestant on The Chase savagely knocked out by The Beast

Mark Labbett was delighted to have knocked out a contestant from Liverpool during a one-question shootout.

Alison, Robert, Amy and Paul were on the ITV game show hoping to win big.

The first contestant Robert had a decent cash-builder, making £4,000.

But The Beast was on top form and easily booted the actor from London off The Chase.

The second player was Alison - a maths tutor from Liverpool.

Alison had one of the best cash-builders ever seen on the show, bagging £8,000.

And it looked like Alison would race through to the final round, as she had a three-step lead at one point in the head-to-head.

But a couple of errors saw Mark soon catch up with her and in a one-question shootout, Alison gave the wrong answer.

Proud of his achievement, The Beast gave an 'evil laugh' as the studio turned red and Alison was knocked out.

Viewers picked up on Mark's delight and laughter.
