Liverpool confirm three fixture changes as Premier League title defence takes shape

Liverpool have confirmed the kick-off times for their first three Premier League fixtures of the new season have been changed.

The Reds begin the defence of their league crown next month as they welcome newly-promoted Leeds United to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s men then travel south to face old rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, before returning to Merseyside for the visit of Arsenal.

The league opener against Leeds has now been moved to a Saturday evening kick-off (5.30pm), and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Meanwhile the trip to Chelsea has been pushed back a day to Sunday, September 20, and will kick off at 4.30pm.

The Reds then take on Arsenal on Monday, September 28 at Anfield, with an 8pm kick-off scheduled.

Liverpool will be looking to repeat last season’s start to the campaign by winning their opening set of fixtures in their Premier League title defence.

The new season officially begins for the Reds tomorrow as they take on Arsenal at Wembley Stadium in the Community Shield.
