Liverpool have announced that Anfield will once again play host to a concert next summer.

It has been confirmed that legendary rock band the Eagles will be performing at the Reds’ home stadium next year.

In celebration of 50 years in music, the Eagles will perform at Anfield for one night only on Monday, June 20.

Regarded as one of the greatest rock bands in history, the American group will likely perform some of their memorable hits including Hotel California, Take It Easy and Desperado.

They have sold more than 200 million records worldwide, and are made up of Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey.

Frey is the son of Glenn Frey, an Eagles founder member who died aged 67 in 2016.

Tickets are due to go on sale at 9am GMT on Friday November 5, with those wishing to get their hands on some can do so via www.liverpoolfc.com/eagles and LiveNation.co.uk.

The Eagles are also due to play at the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park next summer, as well as at Edinburgh’s BT Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.

Liverpool say that season ticket holders, official Members, official supporters clubs and hospitality members will be included in the pre-sale for this concert from Thursday November 4.

Joining the Eagles in performing a concert at Anfield next summer is iconic musician Elton John, with his event taking place on Friday, June 17.
