Alisson Becker will return to Liverpool training on Friday while Diogo Jota is assessed by medical staff at the AXA Training Centre ahead of the trip to Fulham.
The Reds have been suffering with a number of injury problems this term so the possible return of their No.1 will be a timely boost.
However, potentially losing the in-form Jota will be a huge blow given the impact he has made with the Premier League champions since arriving at Anfield in the summer.
Concern over the Portugal international only compounds Jurgen Klopp's problems with the likes of Kostas Tsimikas - who also picked up a knock in the game against FC Midtjylland - Thiago Alcantara, James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri still injured while Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk continue to go through the rehabilitation process.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, though, has returned to full training and the manager confirmed today that as soon as the explosive midfielder is ready he will be an option.
"We had a game two days ago and after the game we had some niggles," Klopp said.
"We have to see if it will be more, the diagnosis is not finally done.

"Kostas we have to see, Diogo we have to see - he got a knock as well but that's it from the game.
"Oxlade is in normal training and has been doing parts of training for a week or so.
"He is now in full training, the situation probably demands for him to be involved as soon as possible but I'm not sure if the weekend is that moment already.
"Alisson will train today - and if he trains and all is fine then he can play.
"Nobody else is coming back."
