Liverpool confirm £45m Diogo Jota transfer as Ki-Jana Hoever heads to Wolves

Liverpool have announced the signing of Wolves forward Diogo Jota on a five-year deal.

Standard Sport understands the Reds will pay an initial fee of at least £41million, with a further £4m in add-ons to come depending on their European success.

Jota becomes Liverpool's second signing in as many days following the acquisition of Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara.

The pair join Kostas Tsimikas as Liverpool's summer signings after the defender completed his move in early August.

The Portuguese attacker provides Liverpool with some much-needed depth up top, with Divok Origi being utilised as Roberto Firminho's primary understudy in recent seasons.

Jota scored seven goals in 34 Premier League games last season as Wolves impressed with a seventh-place finish.

Meanwhile, Wolves have announced the signing of 18-year-old Liverpool defender Ki-Jana Hoever in a five-year deal.

Hoever made just two first-team appearances for Liverpool, one of which came as a 16-year-old in an FA Cup defeat to Wolves.
