Liverpool have named their 25-man Premier League squad for the second half of the season and Virgil van Dijk makes the list, despite it being unlikely that he will be playing again this season.
The Dutchman, Jurgen Klopp said last week, would probably be on the list because he could always hope for a 'miracle', but it remains likely that Liverpool will not be able to field him before next season.
Takumi Minamino, who could make his Southampton debut today, drops out, while new signing Ben Davies, who arrived from Preston North End on deadline day, is on the list.
Fellow new-boy Ozan Kabak does not need to be on the list because he is under the age of 21.

Liverpool play Man City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon as they look to bounce back from a midweek defeat to Brighton at Anfield.
Klopp's side are currently in fourth place with 40 points from 22 games.
