Liverpool complete permanent transfer of goalkeeper after three released

Liverpool have completed the signing of 16-year-old Polish goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek on a youth scholarship deal from FC Wrocław.

Mrozek had been at Kirkby Academy earlier this year and Liverpool have now agreed a deal. The shot-stopper can be tied to a professional contract when he turns 17 in September.

He arrives after goalkeepers Daniel Atherton, Shamal George and Kai McKenzie-Lyle were all released last month and will look to challenge for a place in the under-18 and u-23 age-groups.

Yesterday his agent Jakub Schlage confirmed a deal on social media, writing: "Fabian Mrozek completes permanent transfer from FC Wroclaw to Liverpool!

"From 1 July he will represent the colours of the youth groups of the current England champion. Fabian will also have training sessions with the first team."
