A Liverpool cleaning company has helped hoarders all over the country to get their lives back, after being part of a Channel 5 show.
Hoarder Homes explores the houses of several people across the UK, including some in Liverpool, who have become obsessed with hoarding items which have taken over their homes.
Joe Kidd, 37, owns Pro Mobile Cleaning solutions, and was approached by Channel 5 to take part in the show after becoming known for specialising in clearing hoarded homes.
Speaking about how he got involved in the show Joe said: "I've been in the cleaning industry for 15 years and then moved onto do house cleans and carpet cleaning.
"Channel 5 found out about me after the ECHO did a story about previous hoarders that I've helped.
"I had to help the producers find hoarders and then we worked with them.
"Hoarding is an illness and the show had some psychologists come in and help the people involved, while we cleaned the house."
In the first episode, which is now available to watch on My5, Joe travels to Middlesbrough to help Susan, 54 and Rob, whose home has become filled with stuff and mess.
The couple's home took Joe and his team five days to clear and was the longest hoard he's ever been involved with.

He said: "We usually have three days to clear a home but this one took five days.
"Susan found it really hard to let go of things and kept jumping in the skip as we threw things out.
"But the results were unbelievable, it really does change people's lives and you do feel like you are making things better for them."

Later in the series viewers will see Joe clean homes in Allerton and Walton, with the residents of both homes struggling with pest problems caused by their excessive hoarding.
Joe said: "It really is an illness, in previous house clearances I've dealt with people who have thousands of DVDs and videos, but nothing to play them on, but they won't throw them out.

"As you watch the series you see the way we've changed people's lives, it's unreal how they could live like that in the first place.
"There's a great satisfaction in getting it all done and sorted for them and there's going to be another series, so we will help even more people then."
