Liverpool will face Arsenal in the final of the Community Shield at Wembley on August 29.
Arsenal lifted the FA Cup after defeating Chelsea 2-1 this evening and booked their place in the curtain-raiser of English football against the Premier League champions.
Manchester City are current holders of the Community Shield and this will be the first time since 2017 they have not appeared in the final.

Liverpool played City in the 2019 edition after finishing second in the Premier League because Pep Guardiola guided his side to both the Premier League and FA Cup.
Liverpool have lifted the Community Shield 15 times and last claimed the title in 2006 after overcoming Chelsea 2-1 thanks to goals from John Arne Riise and Peter Crouch.
