A Come Dine With Me contestant caused a stir among his guests when he cooked exotic animals for dinner.

Four contestants from in and around Liverpool competed to host the best dinner party and win the £1,000 prize.

First up is was vintage shop owner Sally who chose a vintage Italian menu and scored an impressive 21 points.

With the guests enjoying the first night, they were all excited to see what Gareth would come up with on the second.

However, the mortgage advisor opted for a menu of unusual meats, which included zebra and camel.

For starters, Gareth served a kebab of springbok, camel and ostrich.

Sally was unable to finish her meal as she was reminded of her time on safari in South Africa.

For the main, Gareth chose a meal of 'triple z's' aka zebra sausage, fillet and casserole - which caused a stir with Cindy.

Luckily, there was a break from animal meats with dessert which was 'lion crunch' served with African liquor.

Unfortunately, Gareth scored the lowest, securing only 17 points.

The third evening featured a seafood-inspired menu, scoring Geoff 21 points.

While final host Cindy offers the diners home-from-home food including lamb and lemon posset.

And it was Cindy's meal which came out on top, scoring an incredible 23 points.
