Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders has detailed the lesson on discipline Mohamed Salah has taught youngster Harvey Elliot.
The Reds are currently in Austria as part of their pre-season preparations as Jurgen Klopp's side gear up for another season of Premier League football.
Elliott is one of the players currently away with the Liverpool team and is constantly learning from the seasoned professionals surrounding him within the camp.
One of the Reds' most experienced stars, Salah, has taken the opportunity to teach the 18-year-old a small but important lesson - as explained by Lijnders.
"Yesterday, I also heard a story that Mo and Harvey Elliott were sitting with each other in the dining area," Klopp's right-hand man told liverpoolfc.com
Lijnders continued: "Harvey had some bread and some fruit on his plate and Mo asked him how many slices of bread he’d already had that day. Harvey said one and Mo told him to only eat the fruit!
"Harvey told me, ‘I’m always learning from these guys!’ We have so many players who are helping the younger players and the new ones – you feel all the way through this camp that the talents are integrating, and I like that a lot."
Elliott is a player tipped for a bright future at Anfield and recently agreed a new, long-term deal at the club.
The teenager was signed by the Reds from Fulham two years ago and made nine first-team appearances during his debut campaign.
He made his debut in the Carabao Cup against MK Dons in September 2019 aged 16 years and 174 days, becoming the youngest-ever player to start a competitive first-team match for the club.
In a bid to further his development, Klopp sent Elliott on a season-long loan to Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

He made quite the impression at Ewood Park last campaign, scoring seven goals and registering 11 assists as he featured in 41 of the club's 46 league matches.
Having developed as a player during this productive spell, Elliott has now set his sights on working his way into Klopp's plans.
"Last year’s loan spell helped me a lot and I think I need to take the learning from that into this year. It’s not going to come around and be given to me, I need to work hard for it,” he told liverpoolfc.com
“I am confident in myself, I feel I can get into the team, whether it’s coming off the bench and making an impact. Whatever it is, I am confident in myself.
“That’s the main goal really; just to be in and around the team and get minutes. Like I keep saying, it’s down to me – I need to show the people I am ready, I need to show the gaffer I am ready, but I am certain I can do it.”
