A Liverpool nightclub has responded to claims that those aged over 40 shouldn't be allowed to go out clubbing.
Singer Talia Storm backed the idea of banning those over 40 from entering nightclubs, causing a stir online.
She made the comments last week on Good Morning Britain, as a debate unfolded following cabinet minster Micheal Gove being spotted at 2am in an Aberdeen nightclub recently.

The 22-year-old said: "But I’m 22-years-old, I’m only just coming into my prime, I do not want to walk into the club and see my dad, see my dad’s friends, or even my granddad cutting some shapes.
"All up for cutting some shapes but I think £5 entry fee for £2 shots – they can be left to us youngsters and you guys have many more options to head to."
Many people criticised the singer's commented, with DJ Tony Blackburn telling GMB it was an "obviously ridiculous" thing to suggest.
Now, Liverpool nightclub Soul Train Disco has shared its thoughts on the matter. Soul Train is an over 25s nightclub which opened in Liverpool city centre in July 2021.
Taking to Instagram, the club shared a screenshot of an article about Talia's comments, writing: "She's barred from Soul Train... And she looks 35".
Many were quick to share their amusement in the comments section, with one person commenting: "She will be 40 someday. She's not stopping me having a laugh", while another agreed, saying: "Wait until she's that age!"
Soul Train was founded by DJ David Soul, who opened the venue in hopes of "saving club land" for those aged over 25.
Speaking about the comments, DJ David Soul told the ECHO : "First of all the person who owns the nightclub you're going to is most likely over 40. Why can't people who are a bit older have a nice time?
"People are having a nice time, whether they're 41 or 50. They drink, have a good time, and go home. Soul Train is full every Saturday, full of good people, who are never causing any trouble".
Soul Train Disco is open every Saturday from 9pm until 3am. Find out more here.
