Liverpool city centre nightclub Midnight Lounge has closed

City centre nightclub Midnight Lounge has closed four years after it opened its Victoria Street site.

Back in 2016, there was much hype surrounding its opening as it described itself as "Liverpool's first and only London-inspired low-lit, high ceilinged nightclub and cocktail lounge with an electric mix of House & Deep House."

Inside, it had a beauty and blow-dry bar and saw a number of celebrities walk through its doors including Danielle Lloyd.

However it's not all bad news as its former owners are set to turn the site into a brand new nightclub.

They're promising to bring "something completely different" to Liverpool's clubbing scene.

While no exact opening date is confirmed, Avenue will soon be opening aimed at a wide variety of people.

The former Instagram account which belonged to Midnight Lounge has been rebranded as Avenue with its latest posts teasing the opening.

One of its posts says: "Standby for Liverpool's newest nightclub. AVENUE.

"Coming to the heart of the city nightlife scene very, very soon, a new way to party not seen before in Liverpool.

"Daily updates & launch date coming soon so stay tuned."

The owners have already had an interior designer into the venue, to help design a completely unique space.
