Liverpool Christmas Markets 2019 - everything you need to know

The Liverpool Christmas market returns to St George’s Plateau in the city centre this year, and there's plenty on offer for visitors to the city.

There will be more than 40 stalls selling food and drink from across four continents – including bratwurst, burgers, crepes and pick ‘n’ mix.

You'll also find a wide range of Christmas themed gifts, crafts and presents plus several outdoor German-style bars to enjoy some gluhwein or hot chocolate as you explore the festival village.

And, if you head down to Liverpool's Pier Head, you'll find more festive chalets and a mini Christmas market alongside the famous annual Ice Festival.

Set on the waterfront, the festival invites guests to a frozen winter wonderland with a covered ice rink, plus the UK's largest ice slide which runs 6m above the park, giving thrill-seekers a birds-eye view of the festival.

There's also the UK's only Ice Jet ride with a great light and sound show, plus plenty of rides to keep younger family members happy, including Dodgem’s Penguin Party, Helter Skelter, Snow Globe and more.
