Liverpool’s Christmas market has been named among the best in the UK.
A new study carried out by Fentimens collected data to highlight the best Christmas staycation spots throughout the EU and the UK.
The research looked at the number of Christmas markets to visit, the chance of snow, average costs while you're there, the popularity of each location in December, and how 'Instagrammable' each city is.

Liverpool came in at number two.
The research found that Liverpool is the best place to spend Christmas outside of London, as well as being home to the second most instagrammable Christmas Market in the UK.
While London ranked first, followed by Liverpool, Manchester came in third.
The research is featured online as a map, so you can find out everything you need to know before visiting your local Christmas market - or one further afield if you fancy it.
The map features information such as the average cost to eat or drink, the average cost to stay over in the city and even the chance of snow..
For Liverpool, the average cost of eating was £12, while drinking came in at £3.77. The research says the cost to stay over was £103.
