Liverpool chief Billy Hogan delighted as club announce major sports industry partnership

Liverpool have announced a new partnership with education giant Pearson.

The Reds have teamed up with the world leading educational company to offer sports industry qualifications on an international scale.

Pearson and Liverpool will be working together to create BTEC qualifications in sport, fitness and physical activity in the hope of giving people around the world a pathway into a career in the sporting sector.

The courses will be made available from September through the club's International Academy programme.

In response to the exciting, new partnership, which was announced on Wednesday, Liverpool's managing director, Billy Hogan, offered his thoughts on the project.

“Pearson is a global leader in the education industry, helping young people and adults get their foot on the career ladder by creating pathways into the workplace," the chief commercial officer said.

“We’re looking forward to working closely with them to develop these new sports-specific BTEC qualifications to open up new global career opportunities and develop sports education around the world.”
