Manchester City are also putting pressure on the Reds, despite their shock 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace this weekend, with the trio looking to be the three contenders for the title this season.
Bitter rivals Manchester United had been tipped to challenge by some observers in the summer, but poor form and growing pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is perhaps seeing their ambitions re-adjusted to Champions League qualification.

Going away to high-flying West Ham and local rivals Everton are likely to be the biggest challenges Liverpool will face, as they attempt to manage their European commitments.
Facing an in-form Arsenal may also provide a stern test, with Mikel Arteta’s side currently on a nine-game unbeaten streak across all competitions.
The Reds will be in Champions League action a few days before their games with the Hammers, Arsenal, and Aston Villa, adding another layer to the squad management that Jurgen Klopp will have to consider.

City face possibly the kindest fixture list out of the three title contenders, with an away trip to United coming up this weekend and West Ham providing the other difficult task for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Meanwhile, United may have bounced back with a 3-0 win over Spurs but Solskjaer faces quality oppositions in both City and Chelsea this month, with Arsenal also on the horizon.
