Tucking into a full English breakfast on a weekend morning has got to be one of life's greatest pleasures, but did you know there’s a Liverpool café where you can get a slap up brekkie until 7pm at night?
We’ve all had those days when hunger strikes, and perhaps having had one to many the night before, we can’t face eating until much later on.

Cafe Tabac on Bold Street has been keeping customers well fed for decades, having first opened in 1974. For those who get a particular craving for bacon, eggs and all the trimmings instead of a Sunday roast, the café keeps its breakfast menu going right throughout the day, with last orders in the kitchen at 7pm.

The cafe’s ‘Rita’s Full English breakfast’ - named after Tabac’s original owner Rita Lawrence - is £9.25 and includes eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, hash brown, tomato, mushroom and beans. There's also a Rita’s small breakfast, a vegan version and items including eggs benedict and pancakes on the menu
Jamie Hives, assistant manager at Café Tabac said: “We have had people coming in as late as 7pm to order a breakfast, though they’re most popular in the morning of course.”
Cafe Tabac’s interior was transformed during lockdown last year, with a look that pays homage to Liverpool’s musical heritage. Having since been through another lockdown, the venue is now, thankfully, bustling with customers once more.
Jamie added: “It’s the busiest it’s been. We’re busier now than we were before the lockdown, which is great.
“I think people are just getting back to normal now and enjoying being out again, making the most of it.”
Café Tabac is open daily from 9am to 11pm.
