Liverpool cafe Hug a Mug haunted by a ghost called Alice

A Liverpool cafe has shared a video of the ‘spooky goings on’ which regularly occur.

Hug a Mug, an independent coffee shop based in a listed building in Gateacre, shared one of its many visits from its ghosts.

According to staff, there are three ghosts inhabiting the historical building on Gateacre Brow, and the new video shows the work of one they refer to as ‘Alice’.

The full post on Facebook read: “We still get loads of requests from customers to show them the times we have caught spooky goings on in the shop. We’ve caught a few things on CCTV.

“This one happened when there was nothing driving past the shop (we checked external CCTV).

“The building is very old and we have three ghosts that we know about- we believe this to be the work of the one we have named “Alice”.

The footage shows ‘Alice’ tipping over chairs in the cafe, while the light fixture sways slightly.

Hug a Mug was Liverpool’s first independent coffee shop to hold Autism Awareness accreditation and is known for serving homemade, fresh food.
