A Liverpool firm has received praise from ex-presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton at a star-studded LGBT+ awards event.
The former First Lady and US Secretary of State paid thanks to PR firm ThisGeneration and its team during a public speech at the British LGBT Awards held in London last week.
Ms Clinton was accepting a 'Global Ally' award at the ceremony when she name-checked Daniel Hughes and Connor Dunn for helping to put on a "hugely successful" event, attended by the likes of musicians Alesha Dixon and Anne-Marie as well as the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson - plus Merseyside duo Conor Coady and Melanie C.

Appearing at Britain's biggest LGBT+ awards event via video link from the US, former Senator Clinton said she could "not be prouder to stand with the LGBT+ community" - but that there is more "work to be done to change laws and change hearts and minds" until LGBT+ people secure full equality.
ThisGeneration's boss Dan Hughes said: “I am incredibly proud of our achievements this summer.
"Ms Clinton paying thanks to ThisGeneration is true testament to my team’s hard work and is very well deserved, but this is only the beginning.
"We have ambitious plans for growth and I am especially pleased to have strengthened our team in this period too by employing the brilliant former Liverpool Echo journalist Connor Dunn.
“We will continue to push and strive for excellence in everything we do for any clients while making sure the social movements we are involved in genuinely help those in need.”
The namecheck rounded off a successful few months for ThisGeneration - which also helped launch a new charitable initiative alongside Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold and insurance firm Swinton.
Football for Change, a new social mobility "crusade" aiming to improve opportunities in education and training for young people from disadvantaged communities, held its official launch event in May - attended by business leaders alongside Liverpool FC legend Jamie Carragher and Wolves defender Conor Coady.
Last month, the firm also partnered with comedian Matt Lucas to produce a special Football For Change video.
