Liverpool bus blocked on route to Old Trafford ahead of Manchester United match

A Liverpool FC coach has been blocked off on its way to Old Trafford as protestors seemingly attempt to get the Reds' clash with Manchester United postponed for a second time.

The Reds were due to face United on May 2 but the game was called off as protests outside the stadium, against club owners the Glazer family, turned ugly and Red Devils fans broke into United's stadium.

Meanwhile, both Liverpool and United were left waiting at their team hotels as fans also protested outside.

To avoid a repeat, several Manchester United players arrived at Old Trafford more than six hours before kick-off on Thursday in contrast to the team traditionally travelling together after meeting at the Lowry Hotel.

However, a Liverpool coach has been pictured blocked off on its journey to the stadium by protestors' cars, though it was not the bus carrying Jurgen Klopp and his players to the stadium.

One report stated that the tyres of the coach had been let down, though police have since cleared the road and the coach continued on route to Old Trafford.
