Liverpool brothers who started trainer store used by Lewis Capaldi & Marcus Rashford

Two Liverpool brothers have launched an independent shoe store that’s so popular even Lewis Capaldi and Marcus Rashford are customers.

Sam and Ben Kersh, from south Liverpool, took the plunge to open their own business in August 2019.

Their brand, KershKicks, made a name for itself over in the US at Sneakercon before it launched in the UK.

KershKicks sells a range of trainers and clothing, including Yeezy, Nike and Travis Scott branded products.

The business became a passion for the brothers when Sam was living in America to play football. From there, the two say, they became “truly passionate” about creating their “own little paradise” for "sneakerheads" in the UK.

Sam says he and his brother Ben “live and breathe” the business and that attending events like Sneakercon in the US got them started.

He said: “It gave people the chance to see our huge range of sneakers and apparel, which we’re still updating daily from stock worldwide and, we got to know everyone involved in the scene on a personal level.

“We’ve also, through sheer endeavour and hard work in building the right relationships, managed to get our hands on every new release of sneaker and that’s a been a huge help in establishing our market position and riding the storm.”

KershKicks has a huge online store that features products from top brands such as Nike, Adidas, Supreme, Jordan and more.

The two brothers also own their own store on Manchester’s high street - and say they’d “love” to open in Liverpool too.

According to Sam, the KershKicks store “was a culmination of our passion for sneakers and other streetwear garms plus our vision to be able to sell deadstock products from brands like Off-White, Supreme and Palace to the North of England.”
