Liverpool boxer David Price wins bizarre fight after being BITTEN by Kash Ali

Liverpool heavyweight David Price was victorious over Kash Ali tonight in the most bizarre circumstances.

The 35-year-old secured his second win in as many fights at the newly-named M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool - after being BITTEN in the fifth round.

Price, who unleashed an expletive-laden rant at the Birmingham man in the build-up to the fight and even entered the ring to the Dire Straits classic ‘Money For Nothing’, won by disqualification.

Ali was warned for punching on the back of the head by referee Mark Lyson who then deducted a point in the third round.

Price dominated the opening stages but Ali came back into it at the start of the fifth.

Ali finally began to look confident as Price looked to be breathing heavily, but then Price landed a sweet right counter.

The pair ended up on the canvas after something of a wrestling match erupted.

It was then that the most obvious 'bite' took place, and the Birmingham man was disqualified.

Price walked over to the referee and showed him his midriff where the stricken fighter had connected.

Marks were clearly visible - and Ali could have no complaints.

There were huge jeers in the crowd as Ali made his way out of the ring following his disgraceful defeat.

Speaking after the fight, Price appeared to claim there were earlier incidents of biting: "He gave it away in the press conference that he was going to lose his head.

"It's a disappointing way to win. He did a couple [of bites] early on and completely lost his head.

"I'm not too pleased with my own performance, but the job's done either way."

Asked about the prospect of a rematch, the big Scouser said: "I don't want to share a ring with an animal like that again."

Tony Bellew said about Ali after the fight: "He's a disgrace, shouldn't be allowed back in a boxing ring. He's a disgrace for what he did."
