Liverpool have been urged not to make a move for Lille forward Nicolas Pepe.
The Ivory Coast international enjoyed a sensational season in Ligue 1, firing 23 goals and 12 assists from 41 games in all competitions as the French side qualified for the Champions League.
Predominantly a right-winger but also capable of playing upfront, the 24-year-old had been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer with some reports in France over the weekend even claiming Jurgen Klopp was lining up a £60million bid for Pepe's services.

The ECHO understands those claims are incorrect and Liverpool have not discussed a move with either the club or Pepe's representatives, and while they are believed to be keen to add a versatile attacker to their ranks, the Lille forward is not under consideration at Anfield.
And Reds legend Steve Nicol believes his former club are right not to move for Pepe, insisting he would not be a good fit for Liverpool.
“I really don’t get this one,” Nicol said on ESPN FC . “Yes he’s had a good season but he just doesn’t look like a Liverpool player to me.

“He’s a little unorthodox, he looks gangly. He has got it done, the stats bear that out.
“Unfortunately it is Ligue 1 and I’m not a huge fan of Ligue 1, I don’t think the standard is particularly great.
“Before the season kicks off we know PSG have won the league. I’m not sure of this.
“I’m not sure where it’s coming from to be honest but I don’t think this guy fits in with Liverpool.”
