Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp sends same hilarious WhatsApp message to everyone he knows

Jurgen Klopp has saluted the “hilarious” promotional video that revealed a different side to his Liverpool players – and Joel Matip in particular.

The Reds caused a social media stir when a clip dropped on Thursday showing six of their players in an advert for Chaokoh coconut milk.

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson was joined by Roberto Firmino, Dejan Lovren, Curtis Jones, Andy Robertson and Matip in a supposed creative content session aimed at helping promote the product.

And Klopp believes it was Matip who stole the show with his deadpan delivery while reading out various facts about coconuts.

Asked for his view on the video, Klopp said: “Hilarious! Do they have a career in Hollywood? Not all of them, maybe…

“It’s long ago that I was in a WhatsApp conversation when, when it’s not football-related, I’m the first one to send a message because I usually only reply otherwise I’d have the full day on the phone.

“This specific video, I think I spread around the world!

“I was so proud, it was so funny. I love how they did it. Whoever in the club had the idea to do it, it was brilliant.

“We have enough problems around the world, so when you see something like that which is smart and funny, I love that a lot.”

Klopp added: “Yesterday we spoke a lot about it, to be honest. Joel Matip… I think for a lot of people it’s the first time they heard him speaking.

“Usually you have to throw a ball on the ground for him to start talking, now everybody knows he can do it even in a situation like this!”
