Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has warned clubs that the group stage of the Champions League this season is the strongest that it has ever been.
The Reds came out victorious in last year's competition, beating Spurs in the final 2-0 thanks to an early penalty from Mo Salah and a late strike from Divock Origi.
Klopp's men will now have a fight on their hands if they wish to keep their crown of European Champions. Spurs and Chelsea will also be looking to become the second English team in two years to lift the trophy.
The three teams, along with Premier League Champions Manchester City, now don't have long until they find out who they will face in the group stage of this year's competition a stage which Klopp is looking forward to.
"I don’t think there has ever been a stronger Pot 2. It is just crazy!" He said.
"They should all be in Pot 1, but there is not enough space there.
"I don't think there was ever a stronger Pot 3, either.
"And then Pot 4 you can get RB Leipzig – wow! The groups will be incredible."
Chelsea are included in pot one of the draw, along with Liverpool and Manchester City, while Spurs will be drawn from pot two, which includes the likes of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
Pot 3 includes teams such as Inter Milan and Lyon, while teams including RB Leipzig and Lille will be drawn from pot 4.
The draw takes place in Monaco at 5pm BST on Thursday 29th August.
