Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reveals Jordan Henderson injury blow

Jordan Henderson will undergo a scan after suffering a suspected knee injury during Liverpool’s win at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Henderson picked up the damage when involved in a heavy challenge with Yves Bissouma towards the end of the Reds’ 3-1 triumph on Wednesday night.

Both players were left prone on the turf after the collision, with the Reds skipper receiving treatment before limping off to be replaced by James Milner with 10 minutes remaining.

Liverpool are now waiting anxiously to ascertain the extent of the problem, with Henderson – who had netted the second goal at the Amex Stadium with a superb finish – set to have tests on Thursday.

When asked about the fitness of his captain, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: “I don’t know, honestly.

"We have to see with Hendo because that’s not so good news how it looks in the moment. As a player, sometimes you have the right feeling, sometimes not. His feeling at the moment is not too good, but we will see.

“I didn’t see the situation back on the pitch but I know it will not be nothing, probably.

“That’s how it is. But we have to wait."

Liverpool have four games remaining this season, and are next in action at home to Burnley on Saturday afternoon with Henderson already considered a major doubt.
