Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp gives one-word answer to Mohamed Salah question

Jurgen Klopp has given his verdict on Mohamed Salah’s standing in world football after Liverpool’s win over Watford.

The Reds ran out 5-0 winners in the Premier League clash at Vicarage Road, with Salah scoring yet another sublime individual goal.

Roberto Firmino scored a hat-trick to help Liverpool move to the top of the table, while Sadio Mane opened the scoring in Hertfordshire.

For Salah’s goal, the Egyptian picked up the ball in the box and used his skill to navigate his way through the Watford defence before firing his effort past Ben Foster from an acute angle.

Salah’s stunning effort follows quickly after his superb strike against Manchester City prior to the international break.

It was Salah’s seventh goal in the Premier League this season and his 10th in all competitions.

Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Klopp was asked about where Salah ranks among the world’s best players.

“Top,” replied Klopp. “Come on, we all see it, who’s better than him at this moment?

“That’s clear, there’s always this discussion and all these kinds of things.

“But we don’t have to talk about what (Cristiano) Ronaldo and (Lionel) Messi did for world football or how long they were really dominant, but at the moment I think it’s clear there’s nobody better than him.

“How it is, it’s not only since yesterday, he’s been in that shape for a while.

“He’s young enough to keep the shape a little bit longer.”
