Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp fires Mohamed Salah warning to Tottenham ahead of Anfield clash

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for Tottenham ahead of the clash between the two sides on Sunday.

But he delivered a warning to Spurs too, in the form of Mohamed Salah's fitness.

Liverpool will likely go into Sunday's game at Anfield back in second place in the table, with Manchester City taking on all-but relegated Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

It is a big game at Anfield, and Klopp is prepared for the test that Tottenham will bring.

Spurs and Mauricio Pochettino suffer double injury blow ahead of crucial Liverpool clash

During his pre-match press conference, he said: "These are exciting times for Tottenham, the new ground I’ve seen only pictures but looks pretty impressive.

"Tottenham played their last league game three weeks ago, I don’t think they’ll be thinking about feeling the defeat.

"We expect the strongest Tottenham you can expect. They will be a strong side. A world-class team will be here."

But Liverpool will have a fit and fully refreshed Mo Salah to call upon, with the Egyptian spending the international break without a game.

Sadio Mane has been the Reds' main man of late, scoring ten goals in the last eight games, with Salah taking more of a backseat.

Proof that Hugo Lloris is having a better season than Tottenham fans may have realised

But Klopp hopes the Egyptian will be back to his best come Sunday.

Klopp warned Tottenham: "One hundred per cent he has benefited [from the time off], getting freshness in this period. Not only for Mo, but the others who weren't involved on international duty."
