Liverpool kicked off their defence of the Premier League with an intense and frantic encounter against Leeds United at Anfield on Saturday.
The Reds went ahead three times in the match but were pegged back by the visitors until a late penalty scored by Mohamed Salah put the game beyond the reach of Marcelo Bielsa's side and saw Jurgen Klopp's men finish with all the spoils of a 4-3 victory.
The new champions will continue their quest to keep the crown with a match against this summer's big spenders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
And Klopp will now consider his options, so here we look ahead to the changes the Liverpool boss could make when his side are next in action.
Roberto Firmino headache
The Anfield faithful know Roberto Firmino is unique in his No.9 role for Liverpool.
However, his lack of goalscoring - which was rightly overlooked a lot last season due to the alternative exploits he provided for the team - has started to become slightly more apparent.
There were times during the match against Leeds that the attacker perhaps should have shown more of a selfish streak and taken on a shot, while he also should have been more decisive with a golden one-on-one opportunity late on with the match finely poised at 3-3.

Of course, it is only the first game of the season which was preceded by a unique and strange off-season so benefit of doubt can be afforded at this stage.
With that said, there is a certain Takumi Minamino waiting in the wings for his chance.
The Japan international performed excellently in pre-season and Klopp will now certainly be faced with a bit of a headache about who to start at Stamford Bridge.
Joe Gomez question
No member of Liverpool's revered backline truly covered themselves in any glory on Saturday.
They looked shaky and out of sorts with a couple of uncharacteristic errors thrown in for good measure.
Joe Gomez is facing a battle this term for his place in the heart of the Reds' defence with Joel Matip having returned from injury and keen to get going.
And that may present the manager with a question about who partners Virgil van Dijk against Chelsea when the likes of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner take to the field.
Jordan Henderson conundrum
After more than two months on the sidelines, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was introduced back into Premier League action during what turned out to be a baptism of fire.
The Reds match with Leeds was a frenetic battle and the newly-promoted side hassled and harried the champions in every area across the pitch.
In retrospect, placing Henderson into his role as the midfield general may have been asking too much - given his lack of pre-season action.
Liverpool's midfield were unable to give the defence their usual cover and as such the rear guard looked shaky as Bielsa's well-drilled unit put three goals past Alisson Becker.
Fabinho was then introduced shortly before the hour mark and did help Liverpool to gain some control - despite Leeds' final goal coming while the Brazilian was on the pitch.
Granted too, he had not shown his best during pre-season matches but the No.6 proved vital in the final minutes on Saturday as he won the penalty which Salah scored to secure all three points.
And given his need for rhythm, it could well be Fabinho who starts against Chelsea with Henderson eased back into other matches in the coming weeks.
