Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp delivers big Tottenham and Arsenal predictions amid title verdict

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has predicted that Spurs "will be back’" amid a poor run of form, while also stating that Arsenal are "getting closer" to where they need to be.

The two north London rivals have endured rollercoaster starts to the new campaign, with their fortunes seemingly having reversed in recent weeks.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men started the season extremely well by winning their first three games of the season and sat top of the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Arsenal struggled with three opening losses and were marooned at the bottom, leading to suggestions that Mikel Arteta could be relieved of his duties.

Since then, the Gunners have won three consecutive league games, while Spurs have endured three back-to-back losses, culminating in a 3-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium in the North London Derby.

This has led to the sides swapping places, with Arsenal now sitting tenth, whilst Spurs have fallen below them, down to 11th.

When asked to evaluate the current Premier League title race by Sky Sports, Klopp replied: "The league is so strong. What Chelsea are doing, what [Manchester] United are doing...

“Arsenal, three weeks ago, everyone was wondering about them but now they're getting closer to the football they want to play. Tottenham? Last week they struggled but they will be back..."

The two north London sides will certainly be hoping to rise up the table and close the gap on the Reds, who currently lead the way on 14 points.

Arsenal travel to the AMEX Stadium to take on the season’s early surprise package Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday evening, whilst Spurs entertain Aston Villa on Sunday following their 5-1 victory against NS Mura in the Europa Conference League.
